# 79 Candle in the Wind
Re-issued in 1987 and charted on Billboard in November. Peaked at #6 and was on the charts for 21 weeks.
It was NOT re-issued, a live version was released and is listed as "Candle In The Wind (Live)". That was a hit in 1988 in most countries so it is listed under that year.

y viva espana song
i really like these listing, I wonder how sylvia's song y viva espana is not in the top 100 for 1974 when this song was a massive hit and is still a very popular song?
"Y Viva Espana" by Sylvia Vrethammar entered the UK charts in Aug 1974 and peaked at number 4, it also made it to position 822 on the UKMIX list. However it was not a hit in any other country, to make it to the top 100 for 1974 it would have to reached higher or been a hit in more locations.
The folowing songs are also not high enough to make the list:
The Drifters "Kissin' in the Back Row of The Movies": Number 1 in New Zealand; Number 2 in the UK; top 10 in South Africa and Belgium; top 20 in Holland, Denmark and Germany
Jim Croce "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song": Top 10 in USA, Canada and France
Carly Simon & James Taylor "Mockingbird": Top 10 in Canada, USA, and Australia
Gladys Knight & The Pips "Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me": Top 10 in USA, UK and Canada
Lena Zavaroni "Ma (He's Making Eyes At Me)": Top 10 in South Africa, Austria and UK; also charted in Belgium and USA

I Can Help
Shouldn't this one be in 1974?
The year indicated is the year that the song was a hit (not its release). This is worked out by looking at the dates in the contributing charts. The song is in 12 charts as 1974 and 14 as 1975, so the year assigned is 1975.
Even in the US (which was the earliest chart date) it spent some weeks of 1975 in the charts, in most countries it didn't enter the charts until that year.
The selection of the chart year rather than the release date is deliberate, not only does that better match what most people expect but it also makes it easier to calculate the date.

Ondrej Pour - Jim Croce
Good evening! Excuse me again, but I think, that Jim Croce's recording "I Have To Say I Love You in a love song" is the same as "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song" (official name of this song). Could you put it together, please?
On Top40.nl they sometimes have a little mistake...
Regards, O. Pour
Normally we'd be a little wary of claiming that any title is the "official name" of a song, it is common for record companies to have different titles and even credit songs to different artists in other countries.
However on this occasion the simplest explination is, as you suggest, that the title was wrong on the Dutch site. We have fixed the entry, thanks for the correction.
