CRY (Churchill Kohlman) : Johnnie Ray

Hi, +Love your charts but the CRY version written by Chruchill Kohlman whichJohnnie Ray made it to No.1 in 1951 is the same song for: Ronnie Dove, Knightsbridge, Eileen Barton, Four Knights, Georgia Gibbs, Lynn Anderson, Ray Charles & Gerry Monroe.

All of the 12 remainders listed are different songs with same title.

Would'nt this affect the rating of CRY ? +Thanks, Maurice

What you say is correct, but how can we tell?

If you've got a song title like "Smile", "Crazy", "The Power of Love" etc we'd have to find a way to distinguish between different covers of the same song and different songs with the same title. Doing this by hand (for 135,647 different titles) is clearly beyond our current resources
