Double Listing - Shout
According to Joel Whitburn's " Top Pop Singles " the same version of "Shout" originally charted in Billboard in 1959 (#47-9 weeks); then again in 1962 (#94-3 weeks).
You're correct. The entries we had in the original Billboard listing were "Shout (Part 1)" (in 1962) and "Shout - Part 1" (in 1959), given that other sources call this song "Shout", and we want to keep the two distinct entries (despite the fact they are the same except their codes are distinct 1959_288, and 1962_596)
Our final decision is to call the 1959 entry "Shout" (in line with the other charts) and the 1962 one "Shout - Part 1" to align with our Billboard source.
Thanks for getting us to look at it

Double Listing - Shout
#2 and #26 are the same recording.
The fact that they have two different entries in the Billboard chart suggests that they are different

Isley Brothers
No mention of "Behind a Painted Smile"
If you look under the entry for the Isley Brothers you will find it listed (song 10 in the 1.10.001 version). However since it was never a hit in the US it did not make it into the top 100 songs of 1969.
