News Of The World

Hello,

Where was News Of The World claimed to have sold 6 million worldwide? I'm asking because I read in article (from December 1978) stating that same number but I lost track of it and I'm a big fan who collects their sales information. Do you have any article?

We don't trust claimed sales numbers (even our own).

This particular claim originally came from Wikipedia (before they removed it), given that the album went 4XPlatinum in the US (which is 4 million sales) and was also Platinum in Germany 6 million is reasonable (even a bit low)

Queen

I guess, that album 6 is the same as 19 & 21

It is hard to sort out the various "Queen Greatest Hits I" albums. We agree with you that having an album called "Greatest Hits" is not appropriate for them, and we have no tried to fix that (thanks for pointing it out).

However there are at least two distinct "Greatest Hits I", the one released in 1981 and the one released in 1992 (we know this both because some charts have both albums and because one of us has both albums)

We have attempted to sort out the confusion (but we're sure that not all the issues have be addressed). If you want more details we would suggest looking at MusicBrainz or Discogs.
